PowerSchool Security Training Part 2 will cover the recommended modernized approach to PowerSchool security using the last two security components: Roles and Fields. Using roles, districts can fine-tune their security settings to provide or deny access to information as necessary to individuals, rather than the whole group, and how to differentiate access for staff in different schools. This training will cover how to set up and manage roles and how to easily transition your district security setup from group-based security to role-based security. It will also cover how to leverage roles in providing job-based data access through field-level security. If you ever wanted to know how to allow or deny access to DDA, know how to find out who changed data when, or hide certain data fields on a page, this is the training you should attend.
